Sooryavanshi Weekend BO Collection: ‘Sooryavanshi’ got a bang on the weekend, Akshay’s film broke the record

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s film ‘Sooryavanshi’ was released in theaters on Diwali and people are liking the film. The film opened with a bang on Friday with Rs 26 crore at the box office. The film earned Rs 24 crore on Saturday and Rs 27.50 crore on Sunday. In this way, the total weekend collection of the film ‘Sooryavanshi’ has been Rs 77.50 crore (Sooryavanshi Box Office Collection).

The film ‘Sooryavanshi’ has made the record for the highest opening weekend. This record was earlier held by Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Mission Mangal’, which earned Rs 67.13 crore in its opening weekend. The film ‘Sooryavanshi’, directed by Rohit Shetty, earned a lot due to the Diwali holiday weekend.

According to Boxofficeindia.com, the film ‘Sooryavanshi’ would have probably earned around 105-110 crores in its first weekend, before the corona pandemic. The film is doing good business at the box office despite getting fewer theaters in different parts of the country. States like Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have opened cinema halls from July-August. However, cinemas in Maharashtra reopened in October with 50 per cent capacity.

It is worth noting that the film ‘Sooryavanshi’ was to be released in theaters in March of last year, but the film could not be released due to the lockdown due to Corona epidemic.
